Stephan, I have a strimmer which uses a particular battery and today my wife early-gifted me the matching mower for Father’s Day so I could cut the grass this afternoon. I’m 32. I was elated.

Right then, whatever happens from now, we have a match. England can't be rained out of the World Cup - unless Scotland-Australia is washed out.

Strimmer... be grateful. I am 59 and my daughter offered to buy me a Zimmer.

Ooofff, that's meaty. Touch wide from Jordan and Davin pokes it over point for six.

    Elliott: Good luck to NaStrimmibia.

It's been suggested a half-moon edger is better than a strimmer. That's thrown me. Chris Jordan is England's fourth seamer.

It's when you need a strimmer for ear and nose hair that you really need to worry.

That's the only place their boundaries have come from - top edge over the keeper.

  9. Nam 24-0published at 4 overs

    Target 127 (10 overs)

That's four, though. Davin gets a thick edge that third man Reece Topley can't stop. We're six balls away from a match.

This curious from Namibia. Going nowhere. For some humpty, have a look what Harry Brook got up to...

Now this is quite dull. I've got a particular battery-powered mower. There's a strimmer you can buy that uses the same battery. That's the one I'm after.

    Sam Curran is bowling.

The Strimmer. Did you specify what type you wanted? Corded, petrol, battery? We need specifics!

Very good from Topley. He's bowled his two and only gone for six. One of those was a no-ball.

Because Jofra has that extra pace, even when the pitch is stoppy, an edge can really fly. Topley though, is bowling at around 80.

  15. Nam 15-0published at 2.3 overs

    Target 127 (10 overs)

Topley is bowling his second. The fact Namibia are barely hitting the ball is speeding things along for England.

So far, so good for England. 18 more deliveries needed, then at least the rain is beaten.

England had to win the last three games of the 2019 World Cup group stage. Has the weather handed us that same jittery incentive?
