England have built and developed well as this tour has gone on. By the third game it felt like they had hit their straps. Adil Rashid led it but all of the spinners and seamers contributed.

Mahmood made a brilliant comeback from injury in the West Indies, far and away England's best bowler in that series. He moved the ball early in the powerplay and is a slightly different bowler, a bit skiddy. He'll give you that variation, changing his pace as well as swinging it.

India captain Suryakumar Yadav: We've left [Tuesday's defeat] in Rajkot. We're coming here fresh in front of this crowd and hopefully we'll play some entertaining cricket.

"[The pitch] looks good. A little bit dry but hopefully there's no dew, so we can put runs on the board and come out and defend."

England captain Jos Buttler: "It feels like a great atmosphere already. It's a must-win game for us so we are really looking forward to it.

"We were really pleased with the performance [in third T20]. We are really happy with the way we are moving. We can feel disappointed and still scored 170. If it clicks we will be in a good place.

"We are unsure on the pitch and whether the dew will come in. We will have to be on it from the first ball."

It’s not been a great day to be an English cricket fan.

England Under-19s were knocked out in the semi-finals of the Under-19s Women’s T20 World Cup, losing to India by nine wickets.

In Melbourne, meanwhile, Heather Knight’s side have slipped ever closer to a 16-0 defeat in the Women’s Ashes, with Australia building a 252-run first-innings lead on day two.

Can Jos Buttler's side buck the trend? Despite winning by 26 runs in Rajkot on Tuesday, England remain in must-win territory, with India leading the five-match series 2-1.
