    Carse lbw b Head 9 (Eng 260-8)

    Another wicket falls to Head!

He traps Brydon Carse in front of the stumps and the umpire's finger shoots up.

Not much doubt about this, but Carse reviews because he may as well at this stage.

It only delays the inevitable - he has to walk off eventually.

  2. Eng 255-7published at 39 overs

Adam Zampa lines up for his eighth over - England take a couple of singles.

Forget being bowled out, having been 202-3 at half way, England are in need of runs if they're to set a defendable total.

Travis Head has now taken two wickets bowling eighth. Only two players have done that before against England in ODIs - Mark Decker of Zimbabwe in 1995 and the other being Brian Lara, who only took four wickets in his entire international career but two of which came against England in 1994.

  4. Eng 253-7published at 38 overs

    Time for Adil Rashid, then.

He gets going with a single into the leg side.

The ball turns very sharply and there's a review for stumping with Josh Inglis looking very confident. It's an easy one for TV umpire Joel Wilson and this is a costly wicket for England.

Bethell st Inglis b Head 13 (Eng 250-7)

    Bails flying!

A second wicket for Travis Head, Australia's eighth bowler in this innings.

Some more sharp turn, Bethell takes a big step forward and sees his back foot slide out of the crease.

Josh Inglis gobbles up the ball and breaks the stumps - Bethell departs for 13 from 27.

  7. Eng 248-6published at 37 overs

Adam Zampa and a number of his fielders go up for an lbw against Brydon Carse.

You've to give credit to Ben Duckett for his century, but you also have to give credit to Steve Smith, the Australia captain. Duckett had hit Travis Head for six over long on and Smith could have easily put those two men back. He kept them up and had them loitering on the circle there, and Duckett sliced it!

  12. wicket

    Duckett c Hazlewood b Head 107 (Eng 238-6)

    Six and out!

Australia introduce an eighth bowler in Travis Head and Ben Duckett's eyes light up, dispatching his third ball for six over long-on.

But he goes again from the following delivery and miscues it, spooning the ball into the air for Josh Hazlewood to take a simple catch at mid-off.

England have lost 4-36 and now their anchor has departed.

Ben Duckett's century came from 86 balls with one six and 13 fours. His previous ODI hundred was against Ireland on this same ground last year - 107 not out off 78 balls, before the rain came and ended the game early!

  14. Eng 231-5published at 33 overs

A couple of singles in Matthew Short's second over - England have hit just one boundary since the half way mark, when they were 202-3 having just lost Harry Brook.

    The players are taking drinks.

  15. Eng 229-5published at 32 overs

That's the only scoring shot of the over, as Bethell faces four dot balls from Maxwell.

The second snorts up over the England batter's leg stump - close!

    There's the century!

An easy push into the covers off the bowling of Glenn Maxwell and Duckett has an enjoy jog to the other end, which he finishes with a big fist pump.

It's his first century of the international summer, having missed out on three figures a number of times in the last few months.

Will this be Ben Duckett's century?

Not in this Matthew Short over - he moves to 99 with a couple of singles to point.

The second sees a small misfield and the England opener considers taking a second run, but decides against it.
