Short boundaries, a cold day and bowling to two set batters who are cracking players of spin.

What a fun time for an ODI debut as a left-arm spinner, as Connolly is pulled for four more by Ben Duckett.

On the plus side for him, Cooper Connolly really is a brilliant name.

    Just remarkable.

Harry Brook nails a reverse sweep from outside off stump for yet another boundary.

Australia have no answers. That brings up the 100 partnership between Brook and Duckett from just 80 balls.

Harry Brook is batting beautifully, isn't he? He looks to be in complete control and he's trying to take full advantage of Aaron Hardie, who they think is the weak link in this attack, early in the innings.

    A third consecutive half-century for England's skipper.

He gets there in style, clubbing Hardie down the ground for six, and he's barely been troubled in this knock so far.

That's his fifth six so far, with the milestone reached from just 39 balls. Brook's scores in this series are 39, 4, 110*, 87 and now 51*.

So just the one over from debutant Cooper Connolly, as Aaron Hardie returns.

And he's punished for four first ball by Duckett, dropping one too short as he eases into his spell. England are cruising.

Ben Duckett's 50 came from 45 balls. It's his seventh 50+ score in just 16 ODIs, his one century coming against Ireland on this ground. In his 10 ODI innings he's averaged 63.

Glenn Maxwell is proving a little trickier to play so far, just getting the odd one to grip in the surface and cause a few problems.

But Ben Duckett latches on to a shorter delivery and punches it past mid-off for four more.

Ben Duckett's in a great run of form. At Lord's we saw a slightly different player, adapting and weathering the storm. Today he's keeping the foot on the gas, but you can see the intelligence and thinking really start to hone in.

    Eng 144-2

Ben Duckett clubs one down the ground to reach another half-century, this one coming from 45 balls as England continue to accelerate.

He follows that boundary with a reverse sweep for four, and takes 12 from Cooper Connolly's first over in ODI cricket.

England have got the upper hand, the momentum's with them. Batting first and setting a big total is likely going to come into play.

Having just seen the frontline spinner dispatched for three sixes in an over, Glenn Maxwell probably isn't thrilled to be given the task of bowling the next.

But he gets through it very well, just four singles worked around.

    Make it three!

Brook launches another one down the ground and this is a fantastic attack on Australia's superstar spinner.

It's a small ground, it's cold even by UK standards which must mean it's absolutely freezing for an Australian, so Adam Zampa looks like he's in for a tough day.

And now the full toss and the same result!

This is very uncharacteristic from Zampa. He's struggling for control and Harry Brook is certainly making the most of it.

Since the start of 2015 only Taunton (6.78) has a higher spin economy rate than Bristol's 6.31 in ODIs in England and Wales.

Harry Brook's in the mood, isn't he? Once the delivery gets a bit of length, it's sitting up nicely. Quite a small ground for Adam Zampa.

    Filth.

Adam Zampa practically gifts Harry Brook this six on a plate with a half-tracker. Brook's in stunning form and he's not going to let that opportunity pass, launching it into the stands.

Mitchell Starc delivers a sharp bouncer which catches Harry Brook off guard, but he survives, pulling it unconvincingly to square leg for a single.

The way he played that may tempt Australia into the short ball plan to him.

Ben Duckett then ends the over by edging one past the keeper for four, another element of fortune for England's opener. He's really frustrated the seamers during this knock of 43 so far.
