I've actually got to squint to see, that's how bright it is.

    I'm completely bewildered by this.

  2. SL 37-1published at 6.4 overs

It's an absolute pie from Chris Woakes. Half way down. Joe Root is laughing.

What is going on, I'm bewildered by this.

Chris Woakes is going to have to bowl off spin.

And with four balls left in the over CHRIS WOAKES IS GOING TO HAVE TO BOWL OFF-SPIN!!!!

  5. Postpublished at 14:25 British Summer Time 7 September

It seems the umpires are getting fidgety about the light again. It looks like they've told England they have to bowl spin.

That was a terrible run, they didn't even look at each other.

Just pushed and he barbequed him, they got carried away.

Karunaratne run out (Stone) 9 (SL 34-1)

    "They're running well," he said...

Pathum Nissanka taps and runs but there's never a single there. In fairness, Olly Stone does superbly to swoop in and hit direct with his throw.

    Dimuth Karunaratne is way out.

England might have to rethink these fields.

They went for an ultra-aggressive approach but it hasn't worked so far.

More runs for Sri Lanka with the catchers all chasing leather rather than catching. It has been good from the Sri Lanka openers. They're running well.

If you fancy watching some live cricket this afternoon, Scotland are hosting Australia in the third T20 at The Grange and you can watch live on BBC Sport. Follow it all here. Scotland, who are 2-0 down in the three-match series, are batting first.

  12. SL 27-0published at 5 overs

Sri Lanka's starts have been getting gradually (and slowly) better. They began with 6-3, then 1-2 in Manchester. That was followed by 32-2 and 43-2 at Lord's.

Here Dimuth Karunaratne drives smartly through long-off for four. With this field, if you use the middle of your bat you're going to get runs.

This is probably Sri Lanka's best start of the series.

  14. SL 20-0published at 4 overs

    Nissanka 20, Karunaratne 0

Gus Atkinson - that stern expression still across his face - has got his pace up into the high 80s early on. He's finding more bounce than any of the Sri Lanka bowlers.

    A good start from Gus.

England might be a little keen.

They are trying to put pressure on straight away but sometimes it takes a while for the bowlers to get warmed up.

After being clipped down to fine leg for four, Chris Woakes corrects his line to find the edge of Nissanka's bat. Somehow the ball finds a gap in that packed slip cordon.

Sri Lanka's diminutive, right-handed opener uses the middle of his bat for a well-timed three at the end of the over.

Four slips, a gully, a leg slip and a short leg for Chris Woakes.

Oliver 'Big Ange' Pope is hunting.

Sri Lanka have obviously learnt form their poor display yesterday, they bowled well this morning.

There's something menacing about Gus Atkinson. I think it's because he never smiles.

  20. SL 1-0published at 1.1 overs

    Blimey!

Atkinson's first ball rises to take Pathum Nissaka on the glove in front of his face. The ball flies away and on the bounce hits Ben Duckett square in the chops.
