That'll do! A good start for London Spirit.

That was a beautiful delivery from Luke Wood. That swung in late and dipped, a good yorker. Will Smeed was very late and didn't stand much chance getting the bat down. It was through him before he knew about it.

    What a start!

    Smeed b Wood 0 (Phoenix 0-1)

LUKE WOOD! An absolute beauty. As a left-arm quick you cannot bowl a better ball than this.

From over the wicket it's quick, full and swinging in to Will Smeed. The whizzes past his bat and crashes into the base of off stump.

As ever it's Will Smeed and Ben Duckett skipping their way to the middle, swinging their arms as they go.

Just 23 runs conceded in the last 25 balls, that is the least amount of runs conceded off the last 25 balls by any team this season.

Thanks Adwaidh. Phoenix chased 181 against all-conquering Oval Invincibles in their last match here. 127 won't be a problem, right?

Phoenix have been brilliant with the ball here. How will they do with the bat now?

My colleague Matthew Henry is ready to take you through their chase.

I think that run total is a little bit sub-par, but we will only know for sure once both teams have batted on it. It was a real struggle wasn't it?

It wasn't the sort of innings you would expect here at Edgbaston, which is usually known for its good pitches, but it was a real struggle for everybody.

If London Spirit can bowl equally as well, it could be a bit of a struggle for Birmingham Phoenix too.

Extremely accurate bowling from Birmingham Phoenix pacers today - 24% of their deliveries have been projected to hit the stumps, that's the highest for any pace attack in a match this season.

  10. Spirit 126-6published at 100 balls

Phoenix bowlers have earned their stripes here.

They restrict Spirit to 126 with some excellent death bowling that made sure they did not have a boundary in their final 15 balls.

  11. Spirit 124-6published at 98 balls

Phoenix are not giving Spirit an inch here.

Only two runs from this final set so far.

Two more balls to go, though.

All class from Trent Boult. Knew what he was trying to do. He knew Ashton Turner was going to go big. He kept the stumps in play.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 96 balls

    Turner b Boult 20 (Spirit 122-6)

Another yorker, this time from Trent Boult.

And it creeps under the bat of Ashton Turner and crashes into his stumps.

Some excellent bowling from Adam Milne. He didn't really put a foot wrong.

I think thoughts of 150 are looking optimistic for London Spirit.

  15. Spirit 122-5published at 95 balls

Brilliant show of death bowling from Adam Milne.

He hits the yorker length consistently in his final set.

Spirit have to do with five singles from as many balls.

  16. Spirit 118-5published at 91 balls

Adam Milne takes the ball for the penultimate over.

And his first of the set is a full-toss that is send to the covers for a single by Liam Dawson.

  17. Spirit 117-5published at 90 balls

Trent Boult returns and maintains good line and length.

Only five runs from the five balls. This will frustrate Spirit, who are looking to go level on points at the top with a win here.

  18. Spirit 112-5published at 85 balls

Liam Dawson walks out to the middle.

And slaps the first ball he's faced to the rope.

Benny Howell finishes his allocation with 1-27.

I think it was the right thing to do from Sean Dickson's point of view, at this point you want to try to push things along. He had to try and move things along but he was done in by the dip of the ball.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 84 balls

    Dickson c Duckett b Howell 16 (Spirit 108-5)

    The pressure pays for Phoenix.

It's a full-toss from Benny Howell but it's on the slower side.

And Sean Dickson cannot generate enough power to clear the rope as Ben Duckett gathers at long-off.
