Amy Jones did not get her timing right. It is hard when you come in and haven't faced many balls.
It was back of length from Deandra Dottin and the Originals are well on top. Birmingham Phoenix need someone to come in and build an attacking innings.

A little bit of width from Mahika Gaur and Ellyse Perry can play it nice and late to beat the two fielders. It always runs away to the boundary on this surface.
It is a decent batting pitch at Old Trafford. It might offer some spin later on as the ball gets softer but normally the bounce is very true and you can play through your shots with confidence.
There hasn't been lots of attack from the Birmingham Phoenix batters prior to that.
