It is hard to believe that the ball is worn after so few balls. The Originals will certainly be happy to take a new one.

If the ball is softer, Sophie Ecclestone will be happy as a spinner.

It is interesting to see Kathryn Bryce coming round the wicket to the two right-handers. She looks to shape everything back into them which allows her line to be more attacking and cramps the batters.

You can see by how much the ball ballooned up that Ellyse Perry must have gotten some glove on it. That would have been a massive wicket if Beth Mooney had taken it.

Mahika Gaur is getting some little late shape here. She has such a nice rhythm to her action.

That looked to be sliding down the leg-side to me. The fact that it is Ellyse Perry will have played a role into taking the review.

Nothing given, but Originals know a risky review would be a hammer blow to Phoenix and they go for it.

It's not a great shout though - pitching outside leg and probably heading down as well.

Here's a little more on that Fire v Rockets women's match...

Trent Rockets comfortably beat Welsh Fire by 23 runs to keep their faint qualification hopes alive in The Hundred women's competition at Sophia Gardens.

Rockets successfully defended a competitive 145-6, but they will be eliminated if Manchester Originals beat Birmingham Phoenix in the later game at 14:30 BST.

Fire, who were already knocked out, fell short on 122-9 as they struggled for partnerships throughout the innings.

One game down, one to go in Cardiff after Trent Rockets completed a 23-run victory against Welsh Fire in the women's competition.

David Willey's Trent Rockets, who sit third in the table, can qualify for the knockout stages of the men's Hundred today if they beat pretty much eliminated Welsh Fire.

However, even if they lose at Sophia Gardens, they will remain in the race for a top-three finish as they only need to win one of their remaining two matches.

Rockets won the toss and elected to bowl.
