  1. Eng 15-0published at 3 overs

Rotating the strike was plan A, but Maia Bouchier has quickly moved to plan B as she hammers Jess Kerr away for back-to-back boundaries.

  2. Eng 6-0published at 2 overs

    Target 142

A beautiful drive from Tammy Beaumont goes straight along the ground to Fran Jones at mid-off, but she fumbles the ball and England run two. New Zealand cannot really afford many errors in the field with such a low score.

Beaumont then drops and runs next ball for a scrambled single. England looking to rotate the strike in these early overs.

Molly Penfold will open at the other end.

  4. Eng 2-0published at 1 over

Just a couple of singles from Jess Kerr's first over, who is definitely finding a bit of movement.

New Zealand will be hoping for some early wickets though if they are to make a game of this.

  5. Not outpublished at 0.1 overs

Nope. There was too much swing in the end, with the replay showing the ball was going on to miss leg.

New Zealand burn a review first ball.

  6. New Zealand reviewpublished at 0.1 overs

Well, well...Have New Zealand taken a wicket first ball?

Jess Kerr finds some early swing that beats Tammy Beaumont's defences and thumps into her pads.

The umpire says no but New Zealand send it upstairs.

    Thanks, Mike.

Tammy Beaumont and Maia Bouchier put on 137 for the first wicket inside 18 overs on Wednesday thanks to some brutal batting.

    Can they repeat that here?

Sophie Ecclestone climbs above Anya Shrubsole's 106 wickets to go fourth on England's ODI wicket-taker list.

How long before she's at the top? And by how many will she lead by the end of her career? She's only 25...

Amelia Kerr top-scored for New Zealand, rather soporifically with 43 from 86.

She and Maddy Green put on 58 for the fourth wicket from 13.4 overs, but Green's departure in the 32nd prompted a New Zealand collapse, as they lost six wickets for ten runs - the final four without scoring whatsoever - from 7.5 overs.

    Just joining us?

Here are Sophie Ecclestone's five wickets.

It's took her up to fourth on England women's all-time leading women's one-day international wicket-takers.

England spinner Charlie Dean: "There's a bit in it for bowlers. It looked tricky to start but we were great up front. It was great to have Kate Cross back in the team with her consistency."

On Sophie Ecclestone: "She is so good, the best in the world and a performance like that showed it. She mixed up her pace really well and has learned to stayed patient, not going to her quicker delivery too soon. She gets frustrated when she goes for ones and I have to say to her 'it's only one, it's okay'"

On the target of 142: "It was a complete performance last game and hopefully we can replicate that today."

Sophie Ecclestone finishes as the pick of the England bowlers with figures of 5-25 from her nine overs.

She might be rather irked not to have bowled her final over - her best ODI figures are 6-36 and she surely would have better those had she taken one final scalp.

New Zealand will be very disappointed. This is not a bad pitch to bat on.

They are about 100 runs short.

What a performance from England. Absolutely clinical.

They were all over New Zealand.

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 41.5 overs

    J Kerr c Sciver-Brunt b Capsey 14

Inspired bowling option, Capsey takes the final wicket!

Jess Kerr attempts the slog sweep and picks out Nat Sciver-Brunt on the mid-wicket boundary, who takes the catch above her head to wrap up the New Zealand innings.

A poor showing from the Kiwis, scoring less than the 156 they scored at Chester-le-Street on Wednesday. And England chased that for the loss of one wicket...

Interesting call to bowl Alice Capsey here. Lauren Filer to charge in and finish it off, no?

  19. NZ 140-9published at 41.2 overs

Hello, a new bowler in the final ten overs.

It's Alice Capsey and the spinner manages to over-step on her second ball, offering up a free hit than Fran Jonas is unable to score from.

  20. NZ 139-9published at 41 overs

Perhaps New Zealand sent in the wrong Kerr up the order?

Consecutive fours for Jess K from the final two balls of Ecclestone's ninth, her first rather fortunate as Kate Cross misses the chance to collect on the boundary behind the bowler, the second whacked to the mid-wicket ropes.

Ten from the over, the most expensive over of the innings.
