Nat Sciver-Brunt shuffling down and giving herself room to go over the top.

She makes some of these difficult shots look easy.

  4. Eng 97-1published at 18 overs

India spinner Shree Charani grips the ball tightly with her left hand and rubs her tongue against her lip before bowling.

Nat Sciver-Brunt skips down the pitch to the Charani's final ball of the over and biffs it over the top for four.

We haven't seen too many of these hard flat sweeps. That was so good. Nat Sciver-Brunt gets out low and in front. Sciver-Brunt gets that connection with the power that not many in the game possess.

  6. Eng 90-1published at 17 overs

    Nicely played by Nat Sciver-Brunt.

She reverse sweeps a delivery from Deepti Sharma heading down leg into the gap at third.

It slows up on the Lord's baize but the England captain and Amy Jones manage to run three.

A couple of balls later and Sciver-Brunt sweeps in a more orthodox fashion and pummels it to the fence for four.

    A profitable over for England.

Amy Jones twizzles her bat round in her hand before retaking her guard after the drinks break.

Both Jones and Nat Sciver-Brunt make clean contact with drives down the ground but some good fielding from India deny them.

    Thee singles off the over.

India call for a huddle as they try and work out how they can force some quick wickets out of England.

Amy Jones has started to look comfortable after a tight spell from India's spinners.

It feels like India are going through the motions and they're not being very proactive.

  14. Eng 78-1published at 15 overs

Three dots to start Deepti Sharma' third over before Nat Sciver-Brunt and Amy Jones pick up a single apiece. England content to sit and wait for the bad ball.

  17. Eng 76-1published at 14 overs

    Need 68 from 90 balls

Amy Jones punches Arundhati Reddy, returning after a break, straight down the ground and runs three from the second ball of the over.

Reddy then concedes just one more from the over.

Perfect placement from Amy Jones. Powerfully struck. The three fielders are out on the leg-side, so it was a good option from the opener.

  19. Eng 72-1published at 13 overs

    Need 72 from 96 balls

It's a bit shortish from Sneh Rana with her fourth ball of the over and Amy Jones punishes her by hitting another boundary - through the cover this time.

England reach 72 and need another 72 to win.

But there is the threat of rain looming.

Tammy Beaumont has been dismissed four times reverse sweeping in ODI cricket - the most for any batter.

Her opening partner Amy Jones (three dismissals) is second on the list, averaging just eight with the stroke in her ODI career - thankfully she's yet to play a reverse sweep in ODIs this year.
