Who had the highest strike-rate in that match, you ask?

Why, Andrew Strauss with his 33 from 21.

Anyway, back in the present day, Liam Dawson gets us back under way and having brought up the West Indies hundred with a two through the covers, captain Shai Hope lashes a four through long-off.

19 years ago this week, I attended my first international game at this ground, a T20 against Sri Lanka.

It was a stinking hot day, and prior to the match they staged a Masters game then screened the England v Trinidad & Tobago game from the football World Cup.

By the time the international got started a fair number of the crowd were... somewhat merry, shall we say?

England may not have quite set records today, but I reckon there was a record for the number of streakers in one cricket game that night.

West Indies have had an abysmal tour.

But there have been so many small passages of play where they have done the right things. They just haven't been able to put it together as a unit and do it for longer periods.

There's quite a considerable gap in the two worms at the halfway point of the Windies chase - England were 135-1 at this stage.

    Consecutive fours follow the six.

Powell, who is also going without a helmet for the spinner, goes through long-off now, firing a drive past the flailing hands of Adil Rashid - he'd had needed lightning reactions to get anywhere near that.

He follows that up by dropping onto the back foot to fire the ball through backward point, then retains the strike with a single as the sides go into drinks.

In the slot and sent flying into the stands.

Rovman Powell connects well with Adil Rashid's delivery, sending it for six over long-on.

It seems to me that Hetmyer shows a degree of arrogance by refusing to wear a helmet thinking that he's never going to be hit! Helmets should be compulsory for all batters in every class of cricket.

That's exactly what West Indies need, but they need a lot more of that.

  9. WI 82-4published at 9 overs

Jacob Bethell continues - his first three balls go for singles, before Rovman Powell eases his penultimate delivery through point for a well-timed four.

The spinner has done well thus far, with figures of 1-12 from his first two overs.

Rovman Powell is next in the firing line and England immediately go up for an lbw appeal as the former captain is struck on the back leg.

Nothing from the umpire, the batters scramble two leg byes and England choose not to appeal - rightly so, ball tracking has the delivery clearing the stumps.

England are on course for what will be a massive victory as the fourth West Indies wicket falls.

    There goes another one!

It's a first ball wicket for Adil Rashid, with Sherfane Rutherford slogging straight to Luke Wood on the ropes at backward square.

The West Indies batters have picked out the England fielders expertly in this innings.

It's the coach, plain and simple. Exactly the same happen with the Test team. He lets the players go out and enjoy themselves without worry.

It's the scoreboard pressure showing. They had to keep going to try and keep up with the momentum of the game.

It's a nice cameo from Shimron Hetmyer but he was always under pressure.

Another shot dropped into the hands of Ben Duckett!

The England opener is at long-on this time and the helmet-less Hetmyer tonks Jacob Bethell's delivery straight to him.

The big hitter departs for an eight-ball 26.

Windies have had a decent powerplay there in terms of run-rate, but WinViz can still only see one winner from here.

It's a big opportunity for Shimron Hetmyer here.

When you got plenty of time at the crease, a good surface and a ball that tails into your leg, you might as well throw everything at it.

So far, the timing is looking good from him.

Back to back sixes for Shimron Hetmyer to end the powerplay!

Luke Wood's fifth delivery swings into his legs and Hetmyer flicks the ball away over fine leg, then hits a gigantic shot over mid-wicket to close the over.

We might need a new ball here - that's disappeared.
