Summary

  1. Eng 29-3published at 2.5 overs

Only a single for Buttler. This next one has to go.

    39 from 13 are needed.

    Dawid Malan

I think it saved him because it him on the front pad. If it misses the front pad and hits the back one then DRS can be a bit weird.

  3. Postpublished at 22:04 British Summer Time

Jos Buttler is at least on strike because they scampered a leg bye.

  4. Not outpublished at 22:04 British Summer Time

It's hitting a good chunk of leg stump but not enough to overturn the original decision.

  5. South Africa reviewpublished at 2.4 overs

Tom Banton may be lbw now too.

    South Africa think so, anyway.

  6. Postpublished at 22:03 British Summer Time

Every wicket is a dot ball. If you get six wickets here then you're chasing 69 from just over 40 balls.

  7. Postpublished at 22:02 British Summer Time

Tom Banton is next to emerge.

In 45 years of watching cricket this is the weirdest game I have ever seen.

    WICKETpublished at 2.3 overs

    Brook c Rickelton b Bosch 0 (Eng 28-3)

    Media caption,

Brook out for a duck after top edge is caught by Rickelton

It's not happening for England. Harry Brook attempts a bizarre flick of the wrists to a length ball and only manages a leading edge which goes high into the air.

Wicketkeeper Rickelton goes right and left but eventually takes the catch.

It's a three-ball duck for Brook. Not ideal.

  10. Eng 28-2published at 2.2 overs

Was Phil Salt a bit unlucky here? He could have put it anywhere else.

That's the right play from Bosch, bowling into the wicket but Jos Buttler was just too good on that occasion.

  12. 6 runs

    Eng 27-2published at 2.1 overs

Thrashed for six by Jos Buttler!

Where's Ravi Shastri when you need him? That has gone like a rocket.

  13. Eng 21-2published at 2 overs

    Need 48 from 18 balls

Aiden Markram turns to Corbin Bosch...

That's smart from Marco Jansen, he saw Brook moving. I'd hire Harry Brook for my limbo team.

  15. Eng 21-2published at 1.5 overs

All going on. Harry Brook misses an attempted ramp that almost smacks into his grille. The wicketkeeper can only parry the catch and then Kagiso Rabada, sliding like a kid at the water park, cannot flick the ball back with a belly flop on the boundary edge.

England need something special as their skipper emerges.

Very good catch, especially under the lights - they're not as bright as at other grounds.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 1.3 overs

    Bethell c Ferreira b Jansen 7 (Eng 17-2)

Gone this time. Donovan Ferreira runs back from cover to take a solid catch. It's six and out for Jacob Bethell.

He's swivelled on it quickly, using the pace. It actually beat Bethell a little, but he moved it around.

  20. 6 runs

    Eng 17-1published at 1.2 overs

Swiveled for six! There's flair in this from young Jacob Bethell.
