300 would make me feel a lot more comfortable but anywhere between 270 and 300 gives England a great chance in the second innings.

Well Owen, convention says you double your score from here - would 274 be so terrible?

And England do have wickets in hand.

They can't afford masses many more quiet overs from here though - just a single off this Shree Charani effort.

A truly worryingly slow run rate. Need to whack two boundaries per over from here.

England are still struggling to score off Kranti Goud, she again goes for a couple of singles plus a wide.

    A good showing from the 22-year-old right-armer.

England need to get more than 300 runs here. They usually have an explosive finish in the last 20 overs or so.

Four more on the sweep for Heather Knight!

Once again she puts Sneh Rana away, sending the ball off to the mid-wicket ropes.

A further single takes her to 32 from 39 deliveries.

Heather Knight is in a solid anchoring role here. She’s attacked just 31% of the balls bowled to her - that’s the lowest figure for any England batter today.

A change of bowler as Kranti Gaud returns to the attack.

The seamer goes for just two singles - she has figures of 0-29 from six overs thus far.

    Thanks Elizabeth.

Heather Knight welcomes me to the, urr, keyboard by sweeping Sneh Rana away for four at square leg.

A lovely shot by the former England captain.

Heather Knight edges Amanjot Kaur through third for four and exchanges a nervous smile with partner Nat Sciver-Brunt. She knows there was a bit of fortune at play there.

That boundary is accompanied by three singles as England move to 120-2 at the halfway mark.

And on that note, here's Mike Peter to take you through the remainder of their innings.

A calm start to this partnership between Heather Knight and Nat Sciver-Brunt. They run three measured singles.

Deepti Sharma has 2-20 from her five overs.

The new England batters have really struggled facing spin straight away. If India have done their homework they should bring the spinners on.

  13. Eng 110-2published at 23 overs

Amanjot Kaur enters the attack and is immediately thwacked for four by Nat Sciver-Brunt. A bit of a loosener - a full toss.

She responds well, conceding two singles off the next five balls.

    Olivia and Sammy

I'm in Birmingham watching the match at the Women's Cricket Society. I've been speaking to 19-year-olds Olivia and Sammy.

"We expected a wicket to come for India, they needed to break up that partnership," said Sammy. "It was an important wicket for India. I still think with the run-rate we are at I think we should be fine still. As long as England keep up with the pace that they have been going at we should be OK."

Sammy added: "Tammy struggled at the start she managed to put her partnership with Jonsey,.

"England's batting line-up is quite strong. I'm quite optimistic England can still go for the win."

India will have spoken a lot about how they can get rid of Nat Sciver-Brunt early.

  16. Eng 104-2published at 22 overs

After facing two dot balls, Nat Sciver-Brunt picks off a full delivery to get off the mark with a swept boundary.

100 up for England, who will want a good partnership from Sciver-Brunt and Knight given the recent fragility of their middle order.

Another one of those frustrating Amy Jones dismissals. She has just upped the tempo of her knock and she knows she has thrown her wicket away.

    She looks absolutely gutted.

Amy Jones has thrown away her good start, coming down to Deepti Sharma and guiding the ball to Smriti Mandhana at mid-on, who takes a good catch around her knees.

Deepti wheels away in celebration. She has two wickets in her opening four overs.

Heather Knight has taken an immediate liking to Renuka Singh, cutting her for four.

She trades singles with Amy Jones before dotting out the next three deliveries.

No Amy. Put that shot away. She attempts to paddle Deepti Sharma but ends up playing an awkward defence.

    Two singles.
