England batter Heather Knight on her century: "I am really pleased to contribute. I have been fairly quiet the last few games but it was nice to play on that wicket. We are just above par but we will have to bowl well."

On her innings: "I took time to get in. It was tacky at first but I put my foot down. Nat [Sciver-Brunt] and I got things moving and my sweeps seemed effective today.

"It is a super fast outfield here so it can be easy to score quickly. If the seamers play well and keep their lines, that will be important.

"We need to take early breakthroughs and they will probably get a partnership that we will try to break."

Right then, is that total enough for England to secure the win and qualify for the semi-finals?

Let Elizabeth Botcherby know - she'll take you through the first half of India's innings.

That is a very, very good score for England. It isn't going to be easy for England to defend if they get after a couple of bowlers, but they'll be pretty happy with that.

Linsey Smith arrives for the conclusion of the innings.

She sneaks an extra run off a wide to bring Charlie Dean back on strike, and the all-rounder rewards the smart running with a four through long-on off a full toss.

Dean strikes into the leg side off the final ball of the innings, and the England batters run two.

A pretty handy total for Nat Sciver-Brunt's charges, although perhaps not quite not what they might have hoped for five overs ago.

    Lazy from Sophie Ecclestone.

You have to be diving in that situation. You have to look as if you want to be out there batting.

Ecclestone run out (Mandhana) 3 (Eng 280-4)

England try to run another run... can't get there.

Shree Charani bowls the final over, and England take three singles from her first three balls.

Charlie Dean reverse sweeps the next ball and calls Sophie Ecclestone through for a risky run, but the spinner is beaten by the throw having not attempted a dive.

  8. Eng 277-7published at 49 overs

Here's Sophie Ecclestone, who takes a single out to long-on to finish the over.

For the record, before the wicket, Charlie Dean had reverse swept Deepti Sharma for four.

The spinner closes with figures of 4-51 - a good day for her.

Emma Lamb cleared the front leg and it is another simple catch for India. England have got to bat the 50 overs now, they cannot get bowled out.

    Five singles and a four!

Emma Lamb changes the complexion of Sneh Rana's last over, sweeping its final delivery to the boundary at square.

The spinner finishes with figures of 0-56.

This has been a brilliant couple of overs for India. The boundaries have slowed up for England.

How can they get some? Can they try the reverse sweep?

  13. Eng 260-6published at 47 overs

Three singles off the rest of the over as Charlie Dean comes to the crease.

Having looked set for near-300 with Heather Knight at the crease, they're now probably looking at around the 280 mark.

    Could that be costly?

That is one of Alice Capsey's favourite shots so I don't mind that. She plays that all the time and it is one of her strengths.

For me, this would be a perfect time for Sophie Ecclestone to get out there.

Sophia Dunkley is not having the best of times in this World Cup. She could not have picked out Deepti Sharma any better if she tried.

That is a bizarre decision from Sophia Dunkley to play that shot when there is a fielder out in the deep.
