A bit lazy by Sophie Ecclestone to not get down for that one, she should've got two hands to that. That's a chance she could've taken.

  2. dropped catch

McGrath dropped on 31published at 41.2 overs

    It never rains but...

Sophie Ecclestone spills one low at mid-off as McGrath hits down the ground again.

It got there quickly. It was awkward. It was catchable.

  3. Aus 213-5published at 41 overs

I don't know what Tahlia McGrath did between matches but they should provide it on the NHS.

She's standing two feet taller, seeing the ball better and middling everything.

Ecclestone looks to the skies after conceding a second boundary in the over.

Australia have had to be calculated today but it's paid off and they're now playing with freedom.

  5. Aus 209-5published at 40.2 overs

Too short. Thrashed away by Tahlia McGrath.

    Sophie Ecclestone is back...

  7. Aus 204-5published at 40 overs

    Gardner 49, McGrath 23

"This is where I get worried," says Alex on TV - summing up the feeling of a nation currently snuggled under a duvet.

Tammy Beaumont does well to prevent another boundary after Gardner's latest attacking hoik.

England need wickets to stop this flow of runs.

  8. Aus 199-5published at 39.1 overs

Lauren Bell, who has five overs left, returns and has her first delivery clipped to the mid-wicket boundary by Tahlia McGrath.

    Great placement.

  9. Aus 195-5published at 39 overs

    Gardner 76, McGrath 18

This is now Ash Gardner's highest ODI score. She has never made a century in international cricket, not that I am trying to jinx it.

  10. Aus 192-5published at 38.2 overs

These are worrying times for England.

Tahlia McGrath creams Charlie Dean through the covers for four.

Australia are going along nicely. Ash Gardner is looking well set, and eyeing up that ton. They will be looking to get up around that 250 and the way the game is going it's setting it up for someone like Georgia Wareham to come in.

  12. Aus 187-5published at 38 overs

I've just seen that this partnership is already worth 33 and had to double check it.

They have just carried on where Gardner and Mooney left off.

  13. Aus 186-5published at 37.4 overs

    Thwack!

Ash Gardner sends Lauren Filer sprawling for cover as she drills the ball back at the England bowler.

Gardner's into the 70s. England already need more than they required in Tuesday's defeat.

Tahlia McGrath is very strong down the ground so England have brought a short catcher in, almost on the line of the crease at the non-striker's end. Charlie Dean needs to bowl a little fuller to bring that fielder into play.

  15. Aus 178-5published at 37 overs

England's wicket-taker Charlie Dean tries again but with little success this time as Gardner and McGrath play her well.

Here's how Dean dismissed Beth Mooney...

    Half-century and out for Mooney

  16. Aus 175-5published at 36 overs

Having dismissed her in the previous ODI, Lauren Filer is summoned to attack all-rounder McGrath with some pace.

Filer ends the over with Ash Gardner at the other end and deceives her with a slower-ball bouncer that hits the Aussie in the chest.

That one has stung a little but she remains, having played a crucial hand...

  17. Aus 172-5published at 35 overs

Tahlia McGrath drills a drive along the ground to extra cover - another sign she has come out keen to play.

  18. Aus 171-5published at 34.4 overs

Good intent from Tahlia McGrath as she looks to move on from this run of low scores.

Charlie Dean is hit back over her head for four.

    Sarah Elliott
    Ex-Australia batter on BBC Sounds

It's been a remarkably low-scoring Women's Ashes series so far which we didn't expect. We haven't seen any really big scores from the batters, either. No England player has made fifty yet, and that will be something they want to focus on today.

  20. dropped catch

    Aus 165-5published at 34 overs

    Gardner 64, McGrath 2

Was this a chance? Ash Gardner pops one back in the air while driving Nat Sciver-Brunt.

England's supreme all-rounder tries to get a right hand down low but cannot manage it.

The replays suggest the ball just carried.
