Just waking up? Here's quick recap:

    • Australia lead 6-0 in the multi-format series after comprehensively beating England by 86 runs in the third ODI.
    • England started well with the ball, reducing Australia to 59-4 but the hosts proved why they are the best ODI side in the world.
    • Ash Gardner hit her first international century. She was supported by Beth Mooney and Tahlia McGrath who made fifties while Georgia Wareham came out and smashed 38 from 12 balls at the death.
    • Australia's total of 308-8 meant England needed to pull off the highest chase in women's ODIs.

    • After a tricky start - England were 29-2 when Heather Knight was out - Nat Sciver-Brunt and Tammy Beaumont both hit fifties to lay a platform but both fell to Wareham to leave England 151-4.
    • From there Australia were clinical. Alana King took five wickets. Phoebe Litchfield took a fine catch and then Gardner topped off the day with a sensational boundary catch.
    • It all means England need to win all of the remaining matches to win back the Ashes.

This was the catch of the century from Ash Gardner. She should have had cramp after scoring a hundred and instead she was putting her body on the line. That was outstanding and had everything. She said she misjudged it well wow, she has made it truly special. That is one will be played for many years to come. That shows the difference with Australia.

  6. 'Best seat in the house for Ash's knock'published at 06:25 Greenwich Mean Time

Australia's Tahlia McGrath: "I had the best seat in the house watching Ash Gardner for a bit there. I was so happy for her. When she came in she changed the game. She took the game on, scored a hundred and put us in a really good position. Some awesome jobs in the field with two amazing catches and really happy to be 6-0 up heading into the T20s.

"We always talk about our depth and taking the game on. We were disappointed with how we batted in Melbourne and it felt like we were a bit timid with the bat and let them bowl to us so it was about showing good intent, being proactive and putting the pressure back on England. It was about backing our batting order."

  7. 'Weren't at our best'published at 06:22 Greenwich Mean Time

England player Nat Sciver-Brunt: "We made some improvements, probably weren't our best on the field. We weren't our best in general today.

"They bat very low down, it makes it really hard for us. We thought with the start we had, we'd put pressure on them but they had a really good partnership.

"The wicket got drier, more tired, which made it hard for us. If you got it in the right area, you could make it difficult for the batter to score. If you used your knowledge and skills, you could make it work. I tried to do that but I couldn't do it for long enough.

"I think a change of format will lift the spirits and loosen everyone. There's new recruits who will bring us energy, we look forward to going back to Sydney."

  8. 'There's 5% difference but in multiple areas'published at 06:20 Greenwich Mean Time

It only feels like 5% of difference between the teams, but not just one area but across the board. Australia are just a bit better at catching, a bit better at building partnerships, a bit better at keeping control. I think it compounds to this sort of gulf across the three games. England are going to be hurting because to have a team 59-4...I think another 5% might be in Australia's ruthlessness. No doubt there is a gulf.

Australia skipper Alyssa Healy: "100 international stumpings? You keep telling me facts I don't know! I thought all round we were quite good. We probably didn't start the way we wanted with the bat but having the depth we do we put it on show by putting 300 on the board. The way we hung in there with the ball in hand knowing it was a pretty good batting wicket I was pleased to bowl them out.

"I'd just like to give a shout out to Ash, probably the best village cricketer we've ever seen!"

  12. 'I'm happy with how we approached it'published at 06:08 Greenwich Mean Time

    Nat Sciver-Brunt goes to fifty

England captain Heather Knight: "I think Australia played really nicely. We bowled up front to try and put on the pressure, it worked but that partnership of Ash Gardner and Beth Mooney, they were hard to keep quiet. They were quite busy. A couple of chances fell between fielders which is frustrating but a great performance from Gardner.

"I thought it would be quite a nice chase but a few wickets fell and the run rate went up.

"We had some more bravery with the bat. Tammy was able to see her options and did that quite nicely. Some were able to come in and help, there was some nice partnerships but those wickets cost us. I'm happy with how we approached it but when you're chasing 300 you need those high scores. Onto the next one and the change of format."

  13. 'I misjudged it' - Gardner on spectacular catchpublished at 06:06 Greenwich Mean Time

More from Ash Gardner, speaking about herspectacular catch: "I actually misjudged that, clearly, because I took it one handed.

"So I guess to know where the rope was behind me and get my feet to throw the ball back is one of those things where you don't necessarily practise it heaps but you have to let your instincts take over in those moments.

"Luckily I was able to pull it off."

    Beaumont reaches half-century

Tasked with a record chase in women's ODIs, England were in the hunt while Nat Sciver-Brunt and Tammy Beaumont were in.

Their partnership of 89 took England to 118-2 and laid a platform but both fell to leggie Georgia Wareham.

Wareham's wickets added to her explosive cameo in with the bat in a fine all-round performance.

  15. 'Pretty emotional'published at 06:02 Greenwich Mean Time

Ashleigh Gardner hits maiden international century

Player of the match Ash Gardner: "It [her century] was something that I had been searching for for so long. I hadn't got over the line with getting a hundred for my country so there were certainly some emotions when I finally got to that point. Just to be able to sit back and appreciate what I did today when I get back in the changing rooms with my team-mates.

"It was such an amazing win from the whole team. People stood up at different points. Alana King took five-for again so it's so pleasing from a team point of view.

"Is it at top of my batting knocks? Definitely. I haven't scored too many centuries throughout my whole life so do it for my country was pretty special and to share those moments with Beth Mooney, in a seriously important partnership, then Georgia Wareham to come out and play the way she did I'm sure she'll take confidence from that innings. To get to that milestone myself is pretty emotional. It's good to finally tick it off."

England won the first 15 overs but the rest of the match was bossed by Australia.

From 59-4, all-rounder Ash Gardner hit a superb hundred to change the game.

She has supported by Beth Mooney and Tahlia McGrath who made fifties before Georgia Wareham added the cherry to the top of the proverbial cake by bashing 38 not out from just 12 balls to lift Australia to 308-8.

It meant England's task was always going to be tough. It proved far beyond them in the end.

  20. Ashes - latest scorepublished at 05:52 Greenwich Mean Time

Australia now lead 6-0 in this Ashes series.

There are three T20s (worth two points each) and one Test (worth four points) remaining.

Barring washouts, England need to win all of the remaining matches to regain the Ashes. A draw would see the hosts retain the trophy.
