There is a crowd of 8,628 an Canberra tonight - comfortably the highest of the series - and they'll be confidence of seeing Australia clinch the series win tonight.

However, a boundary down the ground for Heather Knight helps keep England in with a chance, albeit it a very slim one.

That is one of Heather Knight's strengths - if you give her just the slightest bit of width, she will go with the spin and lift it up and over extra cover.

An excellent shot from the captain.

    Gorgeous shot from Heather Knight.

She down the track to Georgia Wareham and plays a lofted drive over extra cover for four.

England take 13 from the over, they need 14.2 an over the rest of the way to win this one.

It has been a brilliant spell of bowling in these last few overs from Australia.

England could have easily won this game, they were ahead before the rain delay but those final few overs of Australia's innings and the runs they scored, have proved to be game-changing.

    Four more!

This time a sweep behind square from Nat Sciver-Brunt. England need to kick on, is that the start of the big push?

  6. Eng 106-3published at 14.2 overs

    Target 186

A much-needed boundary for England. It's four byes as Georgia Wareham beats Nat Sciver-Brunt all ends up.

She also gets it just past leg stump and Beth Mooney behind the stumps. Runs for England and they all count.

England batters paying too much attention to the DLS par score rather than focusing on chasing down the actual total.

    Target 186 | DLS par score 118

From an England perspective, the glass half full view would be that if anyone can get them over the line from here, Nat Sciver-Brunt can.

While she's there, they have hope.

But right now, she's struggling. A superb over from Annabel Sutherland costs only three, a leg bye and two singles.

    Current DLS par 109

All this talk of DLS, but what actually is it? Well, DLS is short for the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method - a mathematical formula (too complicated to explain here) used to determine a score when rain interrupts play in limited-overs cricket.

Sophia Dunkley got stuck on the crease, it was a fullish delivery and she looked to hit it into the off-side. The DLS score will change again and Australia have got themselves back into the game.

Australia respond to pressure by adding pressure to the opposition.

Bowled her! Megan Schutt has swung this game back Australia's way!

Sophia Dunkley hangs back, is caught on the crease and the ball clatters into off stump.

Huge wicket in the match, the DLS situation is very much against England and rain is very much on the way...

This changes everything. Danni Wyatt-Hodge cleared that front leg, she gave herself a bit of room and spooned the ball up.

Tahlia McGrath finally takes a catch successfully, third time lucky.

This time the catch is taken.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge tries to get things moving again and attempts to give herself room to hit Megan Schutt over the off side.

However, the timing is off and the ball hangs in the air to give Tahlia McGrath takes a simple catch.

It will be interesting to see how Australia will respond as this is the first time England have put them under the pump with the bat in this series.

Although Sophia Dunkley scored 50 in the last T20, this is different as it's the partnership with Danni Wyatt-Hodge which is proving unmoveable.

  16. Eng 98-1published at 12 overs

Tahlia McGrath will no doubt be fuming about dropping another catch but that is a good over from the Australia all-rounder regardless.

Just six singles from it but England are still two ahead on DLS.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge gets to fifty - just!

She thumps the ball back at Tahlia McGrath and the stand-in Australia skipper can't hold on.

Another missed opportunity for the home side but Wyatt-Hodge, who reaches her half-century from 36 balls, continues.

It is raining but the players are staying out there. The forecast says it will pour down in about 45 minutes, but that might be enough time to get a game in.

This is fascinating, games within games.

Every time it starts to get a bit sticky, England find a boundary.

Georgia Wareham concedes just two from the first four balls of the over, DLS is level, so Danni Wyatt-Hodge moves across her stumps to club the ball leg side for four.

She goes again next ball, this time over the covers, for another boundary.

Whether it comes down to DLS or not, England are well placed as things stand.
