Are England's women trying to lose this game? They're going the right way about it with some very poor decision making.

    Eng 35-3

Not the best review of all time.

It's pitched outside leg, and is going further down.

  3. West Indies reviewpublished at 6.3 overs

    Eng 35-3

Hearts must be in mouths in the England dugout, as a huge LBW appeal against Nat Sciver-Brunt is turned down.

Hayley Matthews sends it upstairs, but I reckon it's sliding down...

That wicket means Afy Fletcher has equalled the record for the most wickets for a West Indies player in a calendar year in T20 internationals, level on 22 with Stafanie Taylor who took that number in 2012.

That's not a good shot from Maia Bouchier, who I feel was quite rocked by that Alice Capsey run out.

You can see in her face that she was feeling bad about it and she wasn't quite on song tonight.

  6. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 6.1 overs

    Bouchier c Joseph b Fletcher 14 (Eng 34-3)

A poor start for England becomes a nightmare start.

Maia Bouchier skies Afy Fletcher's first ball straight up in the air and Qiana Joseph takes a simple catch at cover.

Heather Knight is the new batter. England desperately need their captain here.

England's middle order will have to come to party tonight. They've got a very long batting order and they will need to bring their A game against the West Indies tonight.

  8. Eng 34-2published at 6 overs

Aaliyah Alleyne concedes just two runs from her first over, as England look to rebuild following the loss of two quick wickets.

West Indies will be delighted with that powerplay.

Fuming is probably selling it short...

Nat Sciver-Brunt gets off the mark with a single to long-on.

I am never quite sure of Maia Bouchier's running. I get nervous when she is out there. She and Danni Wyatt-Hodge are quick together and they have been doing the hit and run in the last couple of games.

But you can't do that against Deandra Dottin. That's a brilliant pick-up and throw from Dottin. Alice Capsey looked absolutely fuming.

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 4.4 overs

Capsey run out (Dottin) 1 (Eng 31-2)

You can't keep Deandra Dottin out of the game!

It's dreadful running from the England pair, as Maia Bouchier calls Alice Capsey through for a single that simply is not there.

Dottin picks up one-handed and throws to Shemaine Campbelle, who whips off the bails with Capsey miles short of her ground.

England's number three's time in the middle is short-lived and West Indies are jubilant.

Alice Capsey missed the last game due to illness, so she hasn't played a game for quite a long time which can be a little unnerving.

Alice Capsey gets off the mark with a powerful sweep out to the leg-side sweeper.

Hayley Matthews celebrates the wicket of Danni Wyatt-HodgeImage source, Getty Images

Danni Wyatt-Hodge is a huge wicket for the West Indies. We weren't sure if that carried because of the way Deandra Dottin did not celebrate.

She's just a cool customer and she wasn't going to drop that one.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 3.5 overs

    Wyatt-Hodge c Dottin b Matthews 16 (Eng 29-1)

A sharp catch from Deandra Dottin at backward point removes Danni Wyatt-Hodge.

It wasn't the best delivery in truth from Hayley Matthews - short and wide - but the England opener nails it straight to Dottin, who has a great pair of hands.

Alice Capsey is in at three.

That was a beautiful bit of fielding from Deandra Dottin. She is not the field you want to pick to take a quick single. I don't think it's worth that run.

  17. Eng 28-0published at 3.3 overs

There's now a run-out appeal following a direct hit from Deandra Dottin, but Maia Bouchier was just about home.

  18. Eng 27-0published at 3.2 overs

Hayley Matthews brings herself into the attack, and Danni Wyatt-Hodge cuts the first delivery straight through Afy Fletcher at backward point.

The next ball is wider, and that's Wyatt-Hodge's bread and butter.

    It flies away for four.

  19. How's stat?!published at 15:14 British Summer Time 15 October

England have won 16 of their 18 T20 internationals in 2024 (two defeats). A 17th win in this match against West Indies would equal their most victories in a calendar year in the history of the format.

  20. Eng 21-0published at 3 overs

This finds the middle of the bat though.

Full from Chinelle Henry, and Maia Bouchier lofts it back over the bowler's head for the first boundary of the game.

    Lovely shot.
