  1. Pak 26-1published at 5 overs

    Target 120

Five runs and a wicket come from the over. Babar Azam went four and out in that last over and it is a blow for Pakistan, with their captain looking in good touch with the bat.

Hardik Pandya next joins the attack and India will look to grow in their momentum after their first wicket.

Important wicket for India, no surprise it was Bumrah bowling but massive credit to Suryakumar for that catch.

The pressure was on from the previous over. It was a strange shot from Babar Azam.

    A breakthrough for India!

Hardly a harmless shot from Babar Azam, who looked to just nudge down to third man, but picks out Suryakumar Yadav, who dives low and takes a great catch at slip.

There was a check as to whether the catch was taken cleanly, but replays show it was.

The Pakistan flags flying high, great shot and Babar is often criticised for not being aggressive.

  6. Pak 26-0published at 4.3 overs

    Target 120

Up and over for Babar Azam, he finds four, using the height offered to him by the Bumrah delivery.

It flies over mid-wicket and goes for four.

  7. Pak 21-0published at 4 overs

    Target 120

Better from India as Siraj continues his tidy bowling, just runs come from that over.

Pakistan have the time to build a good opening partnership. 21 on the board without loss and not too far off the rate, they will be pleased with their start to this run chase.

This is what the great effort from Pakistan and the poor performance form India has done.

They can be selective with the shots they take.

  9. Pak 19-0published at 3 overs

    Target 120

While the ICC are trying to crack the US, the Indian bowlers are yet to crack through Pakistan's openers.

Just four runs come off that Bumrah over and Siraj remains on strike at the other end.

Dropped an absolute sitter, the trap was in place and he played into it.

    Shivam Dube sold it.

Is this the game that helps cricket crack the US?

I don't know how he's dropped that. Rizwan doing his classic shot and the fielder puts down one of the simplest of catches.

That should be the end of Muhammad Rizwan, but he survives. A very poor drop from Shivam Dube.

Rizwan flicks the wrists to send Bumrah's delivery through to fine leg.

Dube is there and the ball comes at a very catchable height.

Dube however fails to take it when, really, he should have done.

That's very good cricket but Siraj needs to control his emotions.

  15. Pak 15-0published at 2 overs

    Target 120

Mohammed Siraj responds well after going for four off the first ball.

He beats the bat of Rizwan midway through the over.

The last ball, Rizwan plays back at him. Siraj then throws the ball back at stumps and Rizwan gets low to duck, meaning the ball smashes into his elbow.

Siraj is quick to apologise and all is forgiven between the two.

  16. Pak 13-0published at 1.1 overs

    Target 120

Leading by example, Babar Azam starts the second over with a great drive that beats a dive at mid-on and races away for four.

The more Pakistan can pick up early runs, the less daunting this task becomes for them.

Pakistan on to what can be considered a blistering start on this ground.

  19. Pak 9-0published at 1 over

    Target 120

A quick start for Pakistan as they pick up nine off that opening over, helped by back-to-back threes off the bowling of Arshdeep.

Pakistan will want to win over their arch-rivals for pride, their World Cup hopes and also, to re-discover momentum after a disappointing tournament so far.

Babar Azam has got to lift his leadership skills. This is he second opportunity he's got.

He's the one who can lift their performances. He understands the need to keep the dugout together but he needs to be better from an analytical perspective this time.
