Bradley Wiggins helps Sky's Henao go second in Tour of Poland

Sir Bradley Wiggins helped team-mate Sergio Henao up to second place overall on day two of the Tour of Poland.

The Olympic and 2012 Tour de France champion is taking part in his first race since injury and illness forced him out of this year's tour.

He shepherded Henao to the foot of the final climb before peeling away.

Christophe Riblon took the stage win in Passo Pordoi Val di Fassa, while Wiggins finished 53rd, more than 15 minutes behind the leader.

"It was a super ride by Sergio today, supported really well by Brad right up until the last climb," said Team Sky's sports director Dan Hunt.

"Brad made sure Sergio had everything he needed and from there on he did great."

After an opening weekend in the Italian Dolomites, the race now heads to Poland and the riders will enjoy a rest day on Monday as they make the journey to Krakow.
