Welcome to our coverage of stage eight of the Tour de France.

Definitely one for the rain jackets today. The heavens have opened and it is a pretty miserable day in Semur-en-Auxois.

There's about 2,400 metres of elevation gain on the 183.4km route into Colombey-les-Deux-Eglises so possibly a day for the breakaway.

But then again if they can stay in touch over five categorised climbs, the sprinters will fancy their chances.
