BDO World Darts: Richie George battles into semis

Richie George will meet Scott Waites in the BDO World Championship semi-finals after fighting back to beat Jan Dekker.

In his first year at the tournament, the Englishman, 23, recovered from 3-1 down to knock out the Dutch seventh seed Dekker 5-4 at Frimley Green.

Waites beat Paul Jennings to reach the final four for the first time. He raced into a 4-0 lead, was pegged back to 4-2 but took the seventh set to win 5-2.

Tony O'Shea and Wesley Harms square off in Saturday's other semi-final.

Russian Anastasia Dobromyslova beat England's Trina Gulliver 2-1 to book her place in the women's final against England's Lisa Ashton, who beat the Netherlands' Sharon Prins 2-0 on Thursday.
