The darts brings out all manner of outfits – but are there rules about what you can wear? Well, yes…

The PDC says it encourages spectators to “engage themselves in the fun nature of the event and therefore fancy dress in permitted, although no imitation weapons, inflatables or political or religious dress will be allowed.”

I think nuns are allowed, however, although football club team shirts are not. National team colours of the host country are fine.

As for the players, they are required to wear smart trousers and footwear with their player’s shirt – no trainers or jeans.
