It has been a struggle at times this year for Michael van Gerwen.
Van Gerwen 0-0 Dolan (2-1)
Just as Brendan Dolan is eyeing up a comfortable hold, Michael van Gerwen hits the first 180 of the match.
That ramps up the pressure on Dolan, who can't take out 106, and MVG is back with a chance to break.
He gets the 69 out with a double eight.
Van Gerwen 0-0 Dolan (1-1)
A slight lapse of concentration from Michael van Gerwen sees him hit the double 13 when he wanted the single.
It doesn't cost him though as he cleans up on his next visit, hits double eight and levels up this first set.
Van Gerwen 0-0 Dolan (0-1)
Excellent start from Brendan Dolan.
He's ahead even before a fine 177 set-up.
Double 12 is then found at the second attempt and it's a 14-dart hold.
Van Gerwen v Dolan
Two absolute belters of walk-on songs.
Brendan Dolan comes out to the Dropkick Murphy's Shipping Off To Boston.
That goes down well but it can't match Michael van Gerwen, who is serenaded by the crowd singing his name to the tune of Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes.
That's some build up, now time for the game itself...

Brendan Dolan is almost built as the best stumbling block for the seeds ever. He has the ability to beat anyone on his day. His question mark is more around winning titles rather than being able to beat the big players.
Michael van Gerwen will have to be good. If he brings his B-game he loses.
Van Gerwen v Dolan
How do you follow a match like that? With a three-time world champion, that's how!
Michael van Gerwen is up next. The Dutchman faces Northern Ireland's Brendan Dolan.
Mighty Mike is the clear favourite and, with seeds falling and Luke Littler and Luke Humphries on the other side of the draw, will like the look of his route to the final.
It won't be straightforward against Dolan, though. He beat both Gerwyn Price and Gary Anderson in last year's tournament.
Dobey 4-2 Rock
That was a contest that lived up to the billing!
Nine 180s apiece with Chris Dobey ending with an average of 97.29 and Josh Rock on 95.99.
It was the finishing that made the difference in the end with Dobey recovering from a poor start on the outer ring to lift his checkout percentage to 45.2, while Rock's was just behind on 37.
Dobey 4-2 Rock
Chris Dobey speaking to Sky Sports: "It is always great. Whenever I play him we always have great games and there is a lot of respect because he just gets on with the game. We dug out another belter of a game and I'm delighted to get the win."
On Josh Rock never giving up: "That is what he does. Every professional should be the same. I expect that of Josh and he expects that of me. It was a tough encounter but it is another one that I am delighted to get through. We were neck and neck in the rankings so that's given me a little bit of breathing space now."
On the fourth round and his route to the final: "I had a practice with Kevin [Doets] the other day and we both fancied our chances and the half of our draw has opened right up. Krzysztof [Ratajski] is a fantastic player too, he goes under the radar. I'll be ready for whoever gets through and hopefully they'll tire themselves out."

What a contest!
Chris Dobey had to come from behind twice but once he got himself in front not even the tenacious Josh Rock could drag him back.
That was another majestic performance from Dobey.
Dobey 4-2 Rock (3-1)
Fantastic from Chris Dobey!
The pressure is on after Josh Rock hits a 180 to leave 50 but Dobey is more than able to handle it.
It's 96 for a place in the fourth round and having seen Rock's double-double in the last leg, Dobey fancies one of his own.
20, double 19, double 19 and that's that. A brilliant win for Dobey.

That is magnificent stuff from Josh Rock.
Dobey 3-2 Rock (2-1)
Don't write off Josh Rock just yet!
A double-double finish from the Northern Irishman to take out 98.
He'd set it up with a 180 then goes 20, double 19, tops to pull a leg back.

Chris Dobey is looking the part as a seasoned pro here. He's putting his opponent away. He seems to be cruising. Every aspect of his game looks to be smooth and easy.
Dobey 3-2 Rock (2-0)
Chris Dobey is closing in now.
A timely 180 hammers home his advantage in the leg, Josh Rock responds with a couple of strong visits but it's not enough.
Dobey keeps his cool and finds the bed of double 12 to move to within a leg of victory.
Dobey 3-2 Rock (1-0)
One dart at double 16 for Chris Dobey and he gets it!
Big break of throw for the Englishman to start the sixth set.
A 15-darter and Dobey has now won seven of the last nine legs. Momentum is with him. Can Josh Rock respond?
Dobey 3-2 Rock (3-2)
Josh Rock - from two legs down - gets a dart for the set but this time he misses tops!
Until that point, it had been a brilliant set-up from the Northern Irishman.
But Chris Dobey's experience shines through as he nervelessly takes out 60 to hold and take a 3-2 lead.
He's one set from the fourth round now.
Dobey 2-2 Rock (2-2)
We're going to a deciding leg in this fifth set!
A second 100-plus finish on the bounce for Josh Rock.
This time it's a 106. Treble 20, six, tops.
Lovely stuff but it's Chris Dobey with the darts in the next leg.

That is brilliant from Josh Rock. He's sticking in there in every leg and not preserving energy.
Dobey 2-2 Rock (2-1)
Josh Rock takes out 114 to break back.
Superb from the Northern Irishman to give himself hope in this set.
Chris Dobey had put himself in a strong position with the darts but makes a bit of a meal of things when left with 100.
That opened the door for Rock and he strolled through it.
