Luke Littler's hit a maximum in the fourth leg and the previous one, and he might not win either of them.

    He didn't... Humphries back level.

    Luke Humphries 2-2 Luke Littler

At times in the past few weeks, it feels like Luke Littler's high scoring has deserted him but it is back tonight.

He fires in another 180 - after doing so in the previous leg too - but again, it is isn't enough for the leg.

Luke Humphries tidies up 64 to take us level again.

Obviously Humphries is the best player in the world on current form but I have a little feeling Littler is going to step up to the occasion tonight! 6-5 Littler

    That's more like it.

A stunning 170 from world champion Luke Humphries leaves 35 and he needs just two darts.

    We're back on throw.

  5. 'Standard as good as it's ever been'published at 19:24 Greenwich Mean Time 28 March

    Humphries 0-2 Littler

Because the standard is as good as it's ever been, what would have put you in the top two or three in the past is now only good enough for sixth or seventh.

You have to get wins, it doesn't matter what averages you're posting if you're not winning. You have to get the wins done and collect the points. Averages are often connected to that, but it's not everything.

  6. Littler breakspublished at 19:24 Greenwich Mean Time 28 March

    Luke Humphries 0-2 Luke Littler

What is going on? Another stray dart but from Luke Humphries this time and it opens the door.

Littler can't take out 113, though.

Humphries is left with a tricky 11 to take out and goes inside on double four.

Littler isn't going to miss a second opportunity, taking out 40, via double 10, for the early break.

We said this would be a great rivalry after the world final and they've rarely let us down.

A slight miscalculation and a stray dart from Luke Littler and he can't check out on his fourth visit.

Luke Humphries isn't on a finish though and Littler comes back to tidy up double tops with his second arrow.

Luke Littler has beat Luke Humphries in all three games between the pair since the World Championship final which the latter won.

Will Littler make it four in a row?

    The teenager has the darts.

    Wayne Mardle
Former World Championship semi-finalist on Sky Sports

When you look at every Thursday, we know they're all world class, but Luke Humphries and Luke Littler right now are probably playing the best of anyone, especially Humphries.

He's producing what the other guys really can't. I think he can make a statement tonight by winning again. It's unbelievable what he's doing right now and the others can't match him.

Luke Humphries and Luke Littler are both on the stage in Belfast.

Think it is fair to say the crowd are favouring Littler.

There's a few whistles and boos, surprisingly, for Humphries.

  12. 'I'm going to have to be at my best to win four in a row' - Humphriespublished at 19:18 Greenwich Mean Time 28 March

    Humphries v Littler

Luke Humphries to Sky Sports: "It [winning four nights in a row] would be a massive achievement. Winning three nights is incredibly hard I'd love to go and do four. There comes a point where someone will beat you. I want to continue this run but I'm going to have to be at my best."

Luke Littler to Sky Sports: "Luke [Humphries] is playing really well but I'd love to beat him. I've only lost the first round twice, and I got to the final in Berlin. I know there's so many weeks to go and I don't need to put pressure on myself."

Tonight's quarter-finals in Belfast start with a repeat of January's World Championship final between Luke Humphries and Luke Littler.

Humphries is currently the man to beat, with the defending world champion going into it off the back of three consecutive night wins in Dublin, Nottingham and Brighton in the past three weeks.

Hoping to end that run is Littler, who goes into tonight off the back of a quarter-final defeat by Michael Smith in Dublin last week - which saw him drop out of the Premier League's top four.

The Premier League's two Lukes have faced each other twice this year in the competition, with Littler coming out on top on both occasions in Cardiff and Berlin.

Imagine sharing stages or sofas with Sir Lenny Henry, David Tennant, Davina McCall, Millie Bobby Brown, Raye, Jonathan Ross and Matt Lucas.

It would take most entertainers years to check off such a list on their showbiz rounds - but teenage darts sensation Luke Littler did it in a week.

The youngest ever PDC World Championship finalist is flying on the oche - and his profile is soaring off it.

"It's just been crazy - since the World Championships, it's changed my life," the 17-year-old said.

So how is the youngster, who has earned more than £350,000 in prize money in the past three months, handling such a rapid rise into the spotlight?

BBC Sport caught up with Littler's manager Martin Foulds, PDC chief executive Matt Porter and his former youth coach Karl Holden.

It is easy to forget that Luke Humphries is appearing in the Premier League for the first time as a main player in 2024.

He was steady early on, but he's produced his best darts in the past three weeks to record nightly wins.

Could the Crewe-based 29-year-old become the first player to win four in a row tonight?

    It can't be ruled out!

World champion Luke Humphries is starting to run away with things at the top of the table and is edging closer to securing a place in the play-offs on 23 May.

Michael van Gerwen won the the second, third and fourth nights and although his performance level has slipped in recent weeks, the reigning champion is still in a pretty good position.

It's close in behind though, with night five winner Nathan Apsinall, night one victor Michael Smith and teenager Luke Littler all on the same points tally.

Rob Cross is just outside the play-off spots, while Gerwyn Price and Peter Wright have work to do if they are to progress.
