Luke Humphries has just upped a gear in the last few sets and he's left Danny Noppert struggling well behind him in almost every leg.

A very comfortable 16-dart leg for Humphries on his own throw under no pressure leaves him just one away from making the final.

Another leg for Luke Humphries and it's crucially against the darts so he'll throw for the set now after hitting double nine to win the leg.

Danny Noppert did get a look at a 108 finish but messed it up, leaving Humphries to win it in 13 darts.

Humphries is finding that spell and is dangerous once he gets his doubles right.

A first 180 for Luke Humphries followed by 140 and 137 put him in total control, but he misses another five darts at double before eventually hitting to level the match at 2-2.

He's still not happy with his doubling though...

That's a bit more like it! Luke Humphries hits a 128 finish on the bull to clinch his first break of throw. A remarkable checkout considering how bad his finishing was in those first three sets.

Not much between the two so far - Danny Noppert averaging 89.16 to Luke Humphries' 92.77 and the Dutchman throwing the only 180 of the match so far.

Humphries has hit just two of 10 attempts at double though with Noppert successful in four of 12 - and that's the difference so far.

That scoreline looks a lot better for Humphries now. Is this the start of Cool Hand Luke's renaissance against Danny Noppert?

Luke Humphries leads the head-to-head 6-4 in his 10 meetings with Danny Noppert but it's the Dutchman who has the better checkout stats despite the Englishman a couple of points ahead on the averages.

With Luke Littler going out, world number one Humphries will really fancy his chances now, and after pulling it back to 2-1 he'll look to try and power ahead of Noppert after the break.
