Van Gerwen 0-3 Aspinall
Nathan Aspinall is looking so good tonight. He gets five darts into a perfect leg and his sixth dart isn't far off too.
He's down at 48 with Michael van Gerwen way back on 226.
Aspinall goes 16, double 16 for another break. He's still 100% on the doubles. How long can this go on for?
Van Gerwen 0-2 Aspinall
After six darts Michael van Gerwen is more than 100 ahead of Nathan Aspinall in this leg.
He maintains that advantage in his next two visits but Aspinall chips away at the gap and he gets first crack at a double.
He's not missing yet, folks. He hits double tops again. Eight from eight on the night.
Van Gerwen 0-1 Aspinall
Sloppy start from Michael van Gerwen. Nathan Aspinall knows he's got six darts at 140 because MVG is way back.
He takes out 100 of them and then returns to sink double tops with his first dart. An early break.
He still hasn't missed a double all night.
Van Gerwen 0-0 Aspinall
Michael van Gerwen gets a good reception too, but after his walk-on is complete the crowd sing for Nathan Aspinall again.
This pair have met three times in the Premier League this season and Aspinall has won twice.
MVG has the darts. Game on.
Tough to say but the semi-final walk-on by Nathan Aspinall may have just outperformed his quarter-final one.
The home crowd are certainly keen to serenade the Stockport lad.
Van Gerwen v Aspinall
Michael van Gerwen was impressive in the first quarter-final of the night. He started well but then dropped a bit, before lifting his level again.
He came into the night saying he felt no pain but that he was not 100% after missing last week with a shoulder injury.
Nathan Aspinall was 100% on the checkouts against Rob Cross in his quarter-final. He's playing in his home event after being born in Stockport.
Michael van Gerwen could be trying to get in Luke Littler's head again in just under an hour if both win their semi-finals.
It would be a repeat of January's World Championship final which Littler won.
There was some interesting behind-the-scenes insight from world champion Luke Littler recently.
Before matches, players throw darts against a practice board to decide who goes first in a match.
Littler said three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen tries to put him off, but it doesn't work on the 18-year-old.
"Before every tournament, before we go on stage, we throw for nearest to the bull to see who goes first," the teenager told the Stick To Football podcast.
"Every time I’ll go over to Michael van Gerwen, and he’ll try to get in my head about hitting the bullseye first but I always get it before he does.”
Result: Bunting 1-6 Humphries
You see that scoreline and think Stephen Bunting has underperformed.
He was averaging 105.33 though, which you can't really complain about.
He was only one from five on the doubles though. Missing two darts at double 16 in leg two was a turning point.

That really was something else from Luke Humphries.
He was so focused on the oche, no big celebrations, just relentless scoring and unerring finishing.
He's world number one for a reason.
Result: Bunting 1-6 Humphries
World number one Luke Humphries finishes with an average of 118.43. Sublime.
It is the third-highest in a single match in Premier League history, and the sixth-highest in PDC televised history.
He's going to take some stopping if he produces that level throughout the night.
Result: Bunting 1-6 Humphries
Wow!
Luke Humphries lost the first leg but then claims six on the spin to reach the semi-finals again.
There was very little emotion until the final leg, where was a little fist pump.
Magnificent.
Bunting 1-5 Humphries

Luke Humphries is on fire right now in Manchester. This is electrifying.
Bunting 1-5 Humphries
Stephen Bunting isn't doing anything wrong but Luke Humphries just isn't missing anything.
He takes the sixth leg on double tops for an 11-dart leg.
Bunting 1-4 Humphries
What is happening here? Luke Humphries has just put his foot on the accelerator and he is steamrolling Stephen Bunting.
He takes out 142 on double 11 for a double-break and four legs in a row.
The crowd are being silenced by this display.

Three on the spin for Luke Humphries, whose average is around the 109 mark.
Bunting 1-3 Humphries
Stephen Bunting gets down to 161 and pins the treble 20. He strays on the treble 17 though and that allows Luke Humphries back.
He clinically sees off 85 on double 10 for three legs on the spin.
Bunting 1-2 Humphries
Brilliant from Luke Humphries. It's so clinical.
He's just rolled through the gears in effortless fashion.
He misses a first dart at double 10 for a 10-dart leg, but the second dart lands for the break.
