The 26-year-old is manager Simon Weaver's second summer addition after midfielder Ian Ross, also formerly of Alfreton, arrived on Monday, external.
Wilson, son of former Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Wilson, began his career as a trainee at Hillsborough.
Weaver told BBC Radio York: "He's been speaking to us over the last few weeks and he's had real enthusiasm for the club and what we've been saying."
The Harrogate boss added: "He's a winner, he's full of energy and enthusiasm and we're really pleased to have signed him."
Wilson has previously spent time at Burton Albion, Kidderminster Harriers, Hucknall Town, Ilkeston Town and Staveley Miners Welfare.
Weaver continued: "He's the second player we've signed from Alfreton so we just wanted to add that little bit of nous and know-how.
"They're used to winning games, they won't want their standards to drop and they'll want to be part of a winning team here.
"They were very impressive against us in both games this season."
