Cambridge United have signed midfielder Ashley Carew on a one-year deal after he rejected new terms at Ebbsfleet.
The 25-year-old featured 41 times in the Blue Square Bet South last season, scoring 13 goals.
He started his career at Gillingham, where he failed to make an appearance, and had spells at Brentford and Bromley before joining the Fleet last summer.
"He is versatile and he is an athletic player," Cambridge boss Jez George told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.
"We think he can play in the wide-right position or off the frontman and even in central midfield, especially when we play three in there.
"He's got goals in him and has some good experience."
Carew will link up with former Bromley team-mate Harrison Dunk, who joined the U's earlier in the summer.
