Falkirk's Jack Compton moves to Bradford on loan

Compton and Falkirk missed out on promotion to the SPL last season

Bradford City have raided Falkirk for the third time this summer by signing Jack Compton on loan until January.

The 22-year-old winger joins former team-mates Mark Stewart and Chris Mitchell at the League Two club.

Compton had failed to agree terms for a permanent switch to Bradford after impressing during a summer trial.

Bantams manager Peter Jackson said: "A loan deal for Jack seems to suit all parties and gives the lad chance to earn himself a longer stay."

Torquay-born Compton, who joined Falkirk from Lewes in 2009, had returned to the Scottish Division One club but now becomes Jackson's 12th summer acquisition.

"I was impressed with Jack's ability during his time on trial with us, but we were unable to take things any further at that stage," the Bradford manager told his club website.

Falkirk have had to cut costs this summer after failing to win promotion back to the Scottish Premier League.

Manager Steven Pressley told the Bairns' website: "It is a good move for Jack.

"He will have a wonderful opportunity to impress at Valley Parade."
