Chelmsford City have signed forward Joe Benjamin and midfielders Sam Corcoran and Jermaine Brown for the new season.

Corcoran, 20, was last at Colchester United, where he made one senior appearance.

Benjamin, 20, is a former Northampton Town youngster while 28-year-old Brown, who had a short-spell at the U's, returns from a break from the game.

Meanwhile, new Clarets signing Craig Parker, external is expected to be out until November with a broken foot.

"He's a slightly different player from some of the other central midfielders we have and his fractured metatarsal has come at a frustrating time for him," said boss Glenn Pennyfather.

"However, we'll make sure he's well looked after as we're expecting big things from him and, when he returns, it will be like a new signing for us."
