Carl Heeley felt this was his side's best showing of the season
Worcester City are up to fifth in the Blue Square Bet North table after a comfortable win at Blyth Spartans.
Mike Symons put City on their way with a goal in the first minute following a corner move involving Martyn Naylor.
Luke Corbett then doubled the lead on 26 minutes when he turned home Lee Smith's left-wing cross.
Lee Mason gave Spartans some hope when he pulled a goal back five minutes from time but City held on for their third successive league victory.

Worcester boss Heeley hails 'best showing'
Worcester manager Carl Heeley told BBC Hereford & Worcester:
"We got off to a great start with a goal in the first minute - a set-piece with a little bit of movement and a super finish by big Symo [Mike Symons].
"Then we backed it up with probably the best move of the game in which we strung together 10 or 12 passes before Lee Smith put a ball across the near post and Luke Corbett finished it off very neatly.
"We could possibly have scored more goals as well but we are happy with the points."
