Truro City boss has denied press reports, external that his players have refused to train after failing to be paid.

The club is struggling to cope with a debt of more than £100,000 it owes to HMRC in unpaid taxes and players have not been paid for over a month.

"That's incorrect," Hodges told BBC Radio Cornwall when asked if players had refused to train.

"I've given them a few days off and we'll be bang on it again and ready to go for Saturday."

The club plays its first game for a fortnight when Truro host Tonbridge Angels at Treyew Road in the Blue Square Bet South on Saturday.

And Hodges says he does not believe any of his players will decline to play in the match.

"I don't think so no, I'd like to think that the boys will turn up and all be raring to go," he added.
