AFC Telford United sign Tamworth duo and Steve Jones

AFC Telford United have signed Tamworth midfielders Ashley Cain and Jay Smith on loan until 5 January and brought in Droylsden forward Steve Jones.

Cain, 21, has been a long-term target for the Bucks since leaving Mansfield Town last season.

Smith, 30, has previously played for Southend United and Notts County and was club captain at the Lamb.

Jones, 35, is a former Northern Ireland international and has played for Crewe, Burnley, Bradford and Walsall.

Bucks boss Andy Sinton made the triple move in a bid to end his side's current slump in form with just one point in their last six league games.
