Harrogate Town plan for full-time 'nucleus' of players

Harrogate Town have announced that some of their squad will be going full-time next season.

A statement on the club's website said: "It's highly probable that a nucleus of young players will be on a full time contract for the start of next season.

"Many young players are keen to maintain full-time at football having had the experience at Club higher up the pyramid [sic].

"Stalybridge have been successful in moving to this arrangement."

The statement continued: "It will also be equally important that experienced part time players are part and parcel of the playing staff.

"It is not expected that the playing budget will be increased from this season."

Harrogate currently lie 14th in the Blue Square Bet North League.
