AFC Telford re-sign Kyle Perry from Lincoln City

Perry was previously Telford's record goalscorer

AFC Telford have re-signed 25-year-old striker Kyle Perry on loan from Lincoln for the rest of the season.

After signing in 2004 he scored 23 goals in his debut season at Telford, helping the newly-reformed club achieve promotion to the Unibond Premier.

He then broke into League football with Port Vale, and later played for Mansfield, Tamworth and Lincoln.

"He has power and goals in him, and he's a real crowd pleaser," Bucks boss Andy Sinton told BBC Radio Shropshire.

Perry played his part in two early spells at AFC Telford, as the club rose from the ashes of the bankrupt Telford United.

He scored 32 goals in 68 games, making him the top scorer in the young club's history until his record was overtaken by Lee Moore in 2006.

Perry then moved around the West Midlands non-League circuit and his part in Chasetown's FA Cup victory over Port Vale saw him snapped up by the Valiants late in 2007.

In March 2009 he went to Northwich on loan where his goalscoring exploits led to moves into the Blue Square Premier with Mansfield - where he scored 10 goals - and then Tamworth - where he netted 17 times.

In July 2011 he rejected a deal with Tamworth to sign a two-year contract at Lincoln, who had just lost their Football League status.

The recent managerial change at Sincil Bank saw David Holdsworth push Perry to up his fitness levels - and the Imps boss has decided a loan spell at Telford will be good for the player and for his club.
