Birmingham City have extended Senegal international midfielder Guirane N'Daw's loan from French side St Etienne until the end of the season.

Blues have taken up an option to keep the 27-year-old until 30 June, having originally signed him until January.

However he will now head off to the Africa Cup of Nations next week and could be gone until 12 February.

N'Daw, who has 36 caps, spent the second half of last season on loan at Spanish side Real Zaragoza.

He has made 10 starts for the Championship side this season as well as making two substitute appearances.
