Harrogate Town captain Michael Brough has been ruled out with injury for an estimated five to six weeks.

Midfielder Brough suffered the injury in the defeat at Altrincham on Saturday in Blue Square Bet North.

Manager Simon Weaver told BBC Radio York, external: "The initial assessment proved correct really.

"We're looking at five or six weeks for him to get over the problem. It looks like a bad pull of his hamstring and he'll be a big miss."

Brough signed for Harrogate Town in November after a spell at Guiseley and was immediately made captain.

Weaver added: "It's just another problem for us of the many injuries that we've had.

"Patrece Liburd turned up at training and his knee had swollen up the following day from the game last week as well so that's two more players unavailable from last Saturday."
