Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has told Jose Mourinho there is no job for him at Stamford Bridge.
Villas-Boas reaffirmed his commitment to the Blues after reports claimed the Real Madrid boss wanted a return to the Premier League next season.
"A manager who makes himself available to return to his beloved England will capture the interest for sure," admitted Villas-Boas.
"At the moment there isn't a vacancy at this club."
Sources close to Mourinho, who won six trophies in three years at the London club, are reported to have talked to national newspapers about a return to the Premier League.
Mourinho has repeatedly stated his desire to return to England at some point, including during in an interview with BBC Radio Four in December.
At his weekly press conference, Villas-Boas said that all of the Premier League's top managers would be looking over their shoulders.
He said: "A manager of Jose's dimension - and the number one in the world - will always be an attractive target for every club, who'll capture the interests of Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool, Arsenal and so on.
"In one sense we are all under pressure; from Roberto Mancini, to Sir Alex Ferguson, to me, to Kenny Dalglish, to Harry Redknapp.
"But the Real Madrid manager is not available at the moment, he's tied up to the best club."
Villas-Boas also admitted that Chelsea's season is now about "damage limitation", with the club lying fourth in the Premier League - 12 points behind leaders Manchester City.
"Success [for Chelsea] would be the Premier League but it doesn't seem viable at the moment," he said.
"So success is, of course, Champions League qualification."
Villas-Boas was brought in at a reported cost of about £25m, which included a £12m three-year contract, £5m compensation to his former club Porto, and severance pay for the man he replaced, Carlo Ancelotti.
Mourinho won all four domestic trophies during his time at Stamford Bridge - the Premier League, FA and Carling Cups and Community Shield - but never won the Champions League.
