Ebbsfleet Utd 1-2 Alfreton Town

Alfreton boosted their survival hopes with victory over Ebbsfleet.

Liam Enver-Marum converted Gozie Ugwu's pass in the seventh minute, before going close minutes later only to be denied by visiting keeper Jon Stewart.

The Reds hit back through Adam Cunnington, who rose highest to nod in Josh Law's corner, before Law's fine long-range strike made it 2-1.

Cunnington struck a post, while Stewart held firm at the other end to thwart Nathaniel Pinney and Callum Willock.

Daish praises Stewart distribution

"I thought it was always going to be one goal to separate it and we're disappointed with that goal.

"All credit to Alfreton. They stuck to their game and it wasn't pretty out there.

"I thought a big difference was their keeper [Jon Stewart] when he had the ball in his hands and off the deck. He put us under pressure, got us backpeddling and from then on, they were on the move.

"We've just got to learn sometimes that we'll come up against sides that play one way and one way only and we've got to combat that."
