Worcester City kept alive their hopes of a play-off place as Matt Birley snatched the winner from the penalty spot.

City led after 19 minutes through Michael Taylor, before Marc Newsham levelled from the spot.

Worcester were back in front a minute later through Mike Symons, but again Newsham levelled with a penalty.

Birley grabbed the winner after 67 minutes to keep Worcester four points off the play-offs.

City assistant manager Matt Gardner told BBC Hereford & Worcester:, external "Boston are a good side. They passed it well but credit to us we dealt with it well.

"We have been working hard on our offensive play and we have been on about getting the ball in early.

"Some of our interplay in the last third was really good. It was a pressure penalty for Matt and it topped a great display from him."
