Jason Lee confident he is right man for Boston job

Boston United's joint-manager Jason Lee insists he is the right man to take the club forward.

Lee will assume sole charge of the Blue Square Bet North club next term following Lee Canoville's announcement he will be leaving in the summer.

Six defeats in seven games has led some fans to question Lee's appointment.

But he told BBC Lincolnshire: "The fans shouldn't doubt me and shouldn't doubt my intentions. I have not shirked this challenge. I'll give 100% as always."

The Pilgrims have slipped to 10th place in the table with two games remaining.

Much-travelled former Nottingham Forest striker Lee, 40, has faith in his work ethic and honest approach.

"It's not about money me being at Boston and that's the ethos and mentality I want at the club," he added.

"My intentions are to work very, very hard with a hungry group of players who want to do well and I will give them everything.

"It would have been easy to move on but I am proud to work for the club and I will endeavour to bring success.

"I will do the best with what I have got. You make sure you get people in who are hungry and have the desire, and with that you can go forward.

"You won't hear me complaining about the budget."
