Blue Square Bet South side Salisbury City have signed striker Jamie White from Winchester City.

White enjoyed a prolific season in front of goal last campaign, finding the net 54 times as Winchester were promoted from the Wessex League.

The 22-year-old came through the youth ranks at Southampton, where he had loan spells at Shrewsbury and Eastleigh.

Following his loan spell, White joined Eastleigh permanently, before moving to Winchester in 2011.

Salisbury manager Darrell Clarke said: "Jamie has naturally been the target of many clubs, and I am absolutely delighted that we have beaten off the competition and he has committed to us."
