Chesterfield picked up their first away win of the season at struggling Aldershot, who remain in the League Two relegation places.

Chris Atkinson fired wide for the visitors after half-time while Danny Hylton wasted some good chances at the other end.

Sam Togwell cleared Troy Brown's header off the line as the hosts looked to avert a fourth straight defeat.

But it was not to be as Atkinson pounced on a loose ball to win it.

Shots can turn it around - Bishop

"I think the goal we conceded we switched off and we've been punished for it, but were determined to keep going and stick together.

"Somehow we've got to find a way to build confidence in the players and get them to believe in themselves.

"Sometimes when you go behind it's about getting angry and getting yourselves back in it.

"We've got to make sure we turn our home form around. I think we will do that, we've just got to be positive."

Chesterfield caretaker manager Tommy Wright told BBC Radio Sheffield:

Outstanding in second half - Wright

"Its been a tough few days. Two players went down in training yesterday, Sam Hird and Danny Whitaker, so we never really had a chance to work on the shape of the team.

"I think it showed in the first 25 minutes, we struggled and played too many long balls.

"We tinkered and the second-half performance, with the injuries we've got, was outstanding."
