Rochdale's struggles at home continued as their winless streak at Spotland extended to five games with a defeat against Morecambe.

Former Dale striker Jack Redshaw scored both goals for the visitors, sliding the first past Josh Lillis and later converting Kevin Ellison's cross.

Ellison also had a shot deflected on to the Dale post for the Shrimps, while Will Haining struck the crossbar.

George Donnelly pulled a goal back for Dale with a deflected header.

Dale striker Dele Adebola also saw his powerful close-range header brilliantly saved by Barry Roche while Kevin McIntyre's cross looped just over the crossbar.

The results leaves Rochdale sixth in League Two, while Morecambe are 16th.
