Fleetwood Town sign Barnsley's Rob Edwards on loan

Barnsley central defender Rob Edwards has joined League Two Fleetwood Town on a one month loan deal.

The 29-year-old former Wales international has been injured in recent weeks and is looking to regain match fitness.

Edwards made 18 appearances for the Yorkshire club last season after moving from Blackpool.

After beginning his career at Aston Villa, Edwards moved to Wolves before joining the Seasiders in August 2008.
