Middlesbrough striker Lukas Jutkiewicz will be sent for scans on a knee injury picked up during training.

The 23-year-old missed the start of the season with a similar injury to the other knee but has returned to the first team with four goals in six.

A statement from the club said Jutkiewicz would undergo scans and assessment before a decision to operate on the problem was taken.

He joined from Coventry in January 2012 for for a fee in the region of £1.3m.
