Rochdale defender Neill Byrne makes Barrow loan switch

Barrow have signed Rochdale defender Neill Byrne on a month-long loan deal.

The 19-year-old began his career at Nottingham Forest, but left without making a senior appearance and joined Dale in January.

His Rochdale debut came in last season's 3-3 League One draw with Walsall and he has made three further appearances for the club since then.

The Republic of Ireland youth international is eligible to play in the Bluebirds' FA Trophy games.
