Kidderminster moved into 11th place in the Blue Square Bet Premier with an impressive win over Wrexham.

The Welsh club started the game in third spot, but drop to fourth after Forest Green's win over Nuneaton.

The hosts went closest in a tight first half when Anthony Malbon's header came back off the post.

Harriers finally went ahead when Jamille Matt turned in Marvin Johnson's low cross before substitute Nathan Blissett headed in to seal victory.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Kidderminster manager Steve Burr told BBC Hereford and Worcester:

"I thought all round it was a thoroughly deserved win and we played some exciting stuff today which was pleasing.

"Over the last few weeks the team has gelled together well which has been very encouraging indeed.

"Wrexham showed today in glimpses that they are a quality side and if you stand off them and let them play they can hurt you.

"But I just felt that over the 90 minutes we were the better and stronger side so we deserved our win today."

Wrexham manager Andy Morrell told BBC Radio Wales:

"It's so disappointing. We've had a good week's training, everyone's been at it, and we come to Saturday and we're just second best on everything.

"It's just so frustrating and when you're like that you don't win football matches we got what we deserved today. We didn't pick up second balls, we didn't pass it right, we kept kicking it to their team, and when you don't keep it you struggle.

"We were second best, we didn't deserve to win. Take nothing away from them, they were better than us today. We need a good look at ourselves we need to shake ourselves up."
