Scunthorpe United midfielder Damien Mozika is confident the side have enough quality to stay in League One.

The Frenchman was on the scoresheet as the Iron recorded a 3-1 win at Leyton Orient on Saturday to move within two points of 20th-placed Shrewsbury.

"This win helps us a lot and now we need to keep our heads up and keep going," he told BBC Radio Humberside.

"There is no doubt that we are going to stay in this league because we have some good players."

Mozika's goal helped boss Brian Laws pick up his third win since returning to the club in October and his first since the 2-1 victory at Coventry on 10 November.

The 25-year-old has credited the former Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley manager with making the side more competitive.

"He is all about being aggressive and pressing and that is what we needed," he added. "That is my style and how I play the game so I like it."

The Iron host fellow strugglers Carlisle on Saturday before visiting promotion hopefuls Sheffield United on Boxing Day.
